Painted by hand deep in the wilderness on April 25th, “Trail Sentinel” captures a powerful moment on the Pacific Crest Trail — that breathtaking, 2,650-mile footpath stretching from Mexico to Canada. This towering rock outcrop, quietly named “The Thumb” by some hikers, stood like a guardian over the trail, etched into the memory of a day’s long, sun-warmed ascent.
Crafted with delicate washes and earthy tones, this painting was born in the heart of Southern California’s backcountry, surrounded by silence, wind, and the slow rhythm of a long walk north.
